Looking Back at the First ever FungiFridays Mushroom Meetup

On Friday November 10th we organised the first ever Fungi Fridays Mushroom Meetup at Mad Daddys Barbershop and if you weren’t there, you missed out.

Alpha Fungi Overlord (not sure if that is his official title) Vasilis Kokkoris introduced us to the world of the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) which turned out to be the most important group of Fungi you’ve never heard of. His insane microscopy photography was the cherry on top and he had an important message about the importance of conserving and revitalizing our soil. Tunes were provided by the amazing Professional Againsters The incongruous backdrop to this all was the weird and wonderful world that is Mad Daddys Barbershop in out beloved Haarlem-Town.
